Ted --- your package arrived!! WOW!!!! I'm really enjoying the music! Very impressed with Beccy Cole, Sara Storer and Adam Harvey as usual! Made some real nice new discoveries as well -- will pull together a few from this collection as well as others that have made it here from Down Under and update the Aussie Country show real soon! Will let you know when!
Gotta say I really like Lee and Travis' version of I'm From The Country even more than Tracy Byrd's original hit!

Hey, True Blue........I mean, Justmy. Glad you like it. The collection is currently No.1 on the CMAA Chart shown on your TCB site - `The Winners - 2004'. I feel the production standard on this lot is as good as we've ever had. Yep, my favourites from it are Beccy's `Blackwood Hill' & Sara Storer & John Williamsons' `Raining On The Plains'. Bit of Soggy Bottom stuff in that one...watcha reckon? That's great that you'll be putting some on TCB radio. Hope BH & ROTP are in your selection. I knew I'd heard `I''m From The Country' by somebody else a while back. Thanks for jogging my memory...I remember Tracy Bird's version now. I like most of his stuff.

You probably already know this Ted, but thought I'd share it --- have you heard the album yet?
Slim charts from the grave Emma Chalmers 09mar04 FIVE months after his death, Slim Dusty has hit the music charts once more with an unfinished release.
Columbia Lane – The Last Sessions this week made its debut on the ARIA album chart at an impressive No. 5 and at No. 1 on the ARIA country album chart.
The Columbia Lane recordings, named after the nickname Slim had for his home studio, were to be the 107th release from the country music stalwart, who died after a battle with cancer on September 19 last year.
His widow Joy McKean said the album was "very special" for Slim's family as the iconic musician had battled to put down seven tracks as his illness prolonged the recording process.
"I'm so glad to see it out and to hear it sounding so good because even when he was ill Slim was singing so well," she said.
"It's sad in a way to think this is the last one but it's also quite a triumph."
Caboolture boy turned country music sex symbol Keith Urban made his mark on Columbia Lane – The Last Sessions and is featured on guitar on the track Get Along.
"Keith and Slim were good friends," McKean said.
"Keith used to try and keep in touch. He'd ring up from the States and Slim took a great interest in Keith's career.
"He was so pleased to see him doing well."
Rounding out the top five albums on the ARIA chart with Dusty were Shannon Noll's That's What I'm Talking About in the No. 1 spot followed by Feeler by Brisbane singer Pete Murray, Feels Like Home by Norah Jones and Fallen by Evanescence.

I've only heard a couple of tracks so far, Justmy. I was pleasantly surprised. It was an `unfinished' album released with seven tracks. Haven't heard Keith's contribution on it yet though. I guess you could say Slim was somewhat of a mentor for Keith.

Seems Elton has taken a shine to our Catherine Britt. New duet coming up: www.sundaytelegraph.news.com.au/story/0,9353,9023961-28784,00.html Seems Elton wants to record a song written by Catherine. That's good. Catherine was discovered by Bill Chambers and apparently does quite a deal of work in Nashville these days.

Thank you, Justmy. All us `southerners' sure appreciate seeing Slim on the main page along with those other Legends of Country - Johnny, Patsy, etc. I guess many `northerners' may not recognise Slim - Slim posthumously won the Nashville 2004 CMA Global Country Artist Award and is a country music legend down here: www.cmaworld.com/news_publications/pr_common/press_detail.asp?re=277&year=2004Vale, Slim. And thank you once again Justmy for the honor bestowed.
