So are you having problems finding that Americana CD at Wal Mart or Sam Goody's? As we all have heard, lonestarmusic.com is the place to get them but what is better than an online location to get our favorite music? How about a real store!
Friday marked the opening on the lonestarmusic.com Store in beautiful Gruene, Texas! About a block away from Gruene Hall and next to the New Braunfels Museaum of Arts and Music!
They had some instore performances by Two Tons Of Steel, South Austin Jug Band, Micky & The Motorcars, Shelly King, Reckless Kelly and Charlie Robison.
I did go see the Jug Band saturday afternoon and BS'sd with the guys (they know me now, matter of fact, James Hyland and Will Dupuy may come to an open mic that I go to on Tuesdays. That would be fun.) Also got to hear Micky & the Motorcars. Had to leave before Shelly King and RK came on but I was at the New Braunfels museum doing an open mic gig and went over to see some of Charlie's show. It's a very cool store!!!

Welcome Larry! Glad you found your way over here! Hope Lonestar's new store can help fill the gap that's been left by other closures -- I know the artists there need every outlet they can get to get their music distributed... Gruene Hall *sigh* I wish I could click my heels and be there.....
