I'm new to your message board, but hardly new to TCB, or what y'all are about. Overall, I really enjoy your efforts on TCB Radio (Thank God for the live365's of the planet!). Would love to hear some Hank Williams III added. While his career has been halted lately due to legal wrangles, thus postponing the release of a third album, his first two CDs are about as country as you can get.

Good question- From Rising Outlaw, I particularly liked Shelton's cover of "Cocaine Blues" (even better than "Wreck of the 97" on the Dressed In Black tribute). On Lovesick, etc., let's say "Whiskey Weed & Women"- I especially love his salute to David Allan Coe in its midst- or "Nighttime Ramblin' Man". Better still, "Trashville", with its scathing commentary on Music Row. BTW, ever see III live? Rip roaring, no holds barred playing. While I'm asking, how about some Jason Boland & The Stragglers? Just about anything from their "Live At Billy Bob's" disc, which I can't seem to keep out of my player.

My chance to see Hank 3 was a surprise. I went to see Dale Watson at the Continental(Austin) one night when Hank 3 was in town for an early show. I ended up with 3 hours of Hank, Dale and Wayne Hancock.

Janice- sounds like Shelton only did the country part of his show that night. His usual M.O. is to do a country set, then reset the stage, let his hair down (literally), and bring out Assjack for the punk/metal part of the evening. The audience usually thins out considerably when the screeching begins, but Shelton doesn't care-- its what he wants to do, and I love him for it. (I even stay for a song or two, just because.)
TCB- gracias for the info on fourtwenty. That's the kind of info I rely on y'all for. As you may have gathered from my posts, I'm in the DC area, so while I'm certainly familiar with places like Wormy Dog (I even went there once- but that's another story), the goings-on and carryings-on there are slightly off of my radar. And thanks for the additions to the playlist. Again, for someone who's only spiritually in Austin, not physically, its almost my only connection to great "local" stuff like fourtwenty.

I'm also new to the Board - not new to TCB though. Would really love to hear some Fred Eaglesmith or Corb Lund Band. Saw Corb here in Melbourne, Australia this week and was very impressed.

Welcome to the board dy! Thanks for the suggestions -- you get on the Fred Eaglesmith tracks! I don't have Cord Lund's yet but I'll see if I can remedy that soon! Have heard their Five Dollar Bill song though and really liked it...(Mike - I think Corb's one of your locals....)
I'm back on track after computer troubles so I'll get to these suggestions asap!

Thanks for adding Fred. Any of the songs on Five Dollar Bill would be OK.
