Just learned about Mark Erelli. He's new to me, has anyone heard of him? He has several CD's out including "Compass and Companion" the title track is a duet with Kelly Willis. "Memorial Hall Recordings". His songs range from Folk to Swing and a touch of Blues. But his latest release "Hillbilly Pilgrim" is chock full of Western Swing originals! and I really like it!! Check it out if you get a chance, and let me know what you think!

Looks like great stuff Marty! Thanks for the tip --- aside from honkytonk - western swing is one of my all time favorite country sub-genres! Will let the reader's know about it in the next newsletter! Can't go wrong with Kelly Willis as a duet partner either -- loved their mp3 of the week -- Johnny Cash -- too dang cool!
