jimmie dale's kid has a voice and interesting point of view - having worshipped the clash thru his teens, he has released "the day the world stopped and spun the other way" as a sort of punk country effort, and i can't find a lousy cut on the disc!
favorites: '2150"; "the you that i knew"; "good times stay" and "the way we are".
colin gilmore joins second/third-generation texas sons-of-alt-country (whatever that is) justin earle (son of steve), django walker (son of jerry jeff), and many more.
on another topic, whatever happened to annie's editorials?

No argument here. Hoping to catch Colin again while I'm in Austin.

Re: Annie's editorials -- she has taken an indefinite break from the editorials for now -- I know -- I loved them too but support her with what ever she decides is best. I think she was feeling that she wasn't connecting with what readers thought (which of course I think the exact opposite ) but she does continue to faithfully contribute to our site with her awesome reviews -- she's got a way with words that I admire greatly and there's no doubt she knows her stuff inside and out....
